Project Description

Location:   Berawa, Bali
Surface Area: 650 m2
Completion Date:   November 2018 / December 2018
Project type:   Luxury villa build in Bali

This project started as an SOS call from a client who had been let down by their building company and was hugely dissatisfied with the standard of the work. Villa Ben was supposed to be a luxury holiday home, which would double as an investment property in Bali, but the project turned into a nightmare.

This luxury villa build required some ingenuity and an accurate assessment of what was salvageable to keep the project financially viable. The first job Construct Bali needed to do was reinforce and underpin the structures with concrete and steel to ensure their integrity. The rest of the project was Construct Bali’s original work, which is always far more straightforward, although we love a challenge.

The project included both the roofs constructed from sirap (hardwood shingles) as well as a sukabumi tiled swimming pool, all electrics, and plumbing, the kitchen, hardwood doors and windows, rendering, plastering, and painting as well as granite and hardwood flooring and all the bathrooms. Construct Bali restored the client’s faith in builders in Bali and delivered a luxury villa perfect to reap the rewards of a lucrative rental market. If you are unhappy with your current contractor’s building work and want a second opinion, give Construct Bali a call. .

The Challenges

The challenge of this rebuild project was choosing what to build from scratch and what we could salvage through underpinning.
